Wednesday 22nd March @ 10-11am
In March we have the wonderful Bob in for a FREE branding workshop! Brimming with decades of marketing expertise, Bob will be dissecting how he learned more about branding by volunteering for a refugee charity, than he did working for years at Saatchi & Saatchi.
In this fascinating half-hour talk, Bob explains that when he was tasked with
creating a new brand positioning for the charity, the experience taught him
more than anything he’d ever learned working for famous name brands.
It’s the story of how a small independent charity grew into an organisation that
has sent hundreds of volunteers from over 20 countries to help and support
refugees in crisis. It tells how Refugee Support has redefined the aid model
putting human dignity at the centre of everything it does. And it’s an object
lesson in brand building that shows SMEs and social enterprises how to follow a
simple 3-step process of brand positioning, brand communication and brand
Bob also takes you behind the headlines to reveal what it’s like working for a
refugee charity dealing with refugees on the ground close to the front lines,
and why many volunteers say it’s a life-changing experience.
Bob is an ex-advertising copywriter who has created advertising campaigns
for British Airways, Barclays, Inter-Continental Hotels and Ferrari.
He’s also an ambassador for Refugee Support, a charity that runs operations
in Cyprus and in Moldova for refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.
